Testimonial Australia Awards is back, and this year we are starting fresh with a revamped format, new categories, and hopefully a greater recognition for our efforts.
What is ‘Testimonial awards’, you may ask? Well it’s simple really. You work hard in your studies, you are actively involved in the organisations around, and you’re a sports person – in conclusion, you’re an exemplary student. Therefore, we here in MASCA and Education Malaysia Australia think that you should get an award for that. A testimonial of our recognition to you for all the nights you spend cramming your brain to score those brilliant marks, for all the time you spend organising events and volunteering so that there is a better world for someone out there, for all the sweat and fat you’ve burned and all the Redbulls and Mothers you’ve gulped, – you deserve an award for that, and it’s called the Testimonial Awards.
This is no peanuts award. This is a stamp of approval from Education Malaysia and MASCA that tells every corporation out there, that the recipient of this award, is a brilliant person, who has strived excellently in academics as well as in extra-curricular during their student life.
This year, we think that all of you should be given a chance to be recognised. If you’re a Malaysian undergraduate and studying in Australia, you have a chance of winning this award.

‘I have now secured an arrangement for the Immigration Officers from the Malaysian High Commission (Canberra) to come to Adelaide to do Passport renewals, registration of baby births and other documents.
The dates of their visit will be Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 April. If you have any documentation requirements, please email to me and advise the following:
1. Full names of all the persons requiring documentation.
2. Type(s) of documentation required.
Note: As a general rule a passport can be renewed only if it has less than 6 months validity left on the date of the application.
If you know of anyone else who needs the documentation service, please ask them to email me in person at aiv@aiv.com.au.
Appointments must be made with me so that I can co-ordinate the officers’ timetable.
When I have received the requests I will set up an appointment time and date and forward the appropriate instructions.
Please do not take this as a regular visit by the Immigration Officers. Future visits will depend on how many people require their services and also other factors.’

Yes, as the title suggests Malaysian Carnival ’10 was proven a great success. It has been awarded the ‘City of Adelaide 2011 Community Event of the Year’.
The ceremony of this award will be held in Lord Mayor’s Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony and City of Adelaide Australia Day Award Presentations on Wednesday 26th January 2011.
Some 180 guests are expected to attend the ceremony in the Council Chamber, followed by morning tea in the historic Queen Adelaide Room.
Credit goes to all who have made it to this level; the 2010′s MASCA SA committee, the volunteers, the performers, and the people who have come to cheer up the event on that beautiful day. Let us hope for another successful Malaysian Carnival this year – Malaysian Carnival ’11.
