About Us
We Are
MASCA is Malaysian Students’ Council of Australia. Every state in Australia has one. MASCA SA, as the name suggests, is the South Australian chapter of MASCA and is based in Adelaide. We are affiliated with and supported by Malaysian Students Department.
We Do
Organise activities. We organise activities so that we can socialise and get to know fellow Malaysians. Sometimes organise events in conjunction with festive season e.g. Eid celebration and Merdeka. More on that later.
Facilitate interaction and unification of Malaysian student bodies in South Australia. MASCA SA - being the largest and the fact that we cater all Malaysian students - act as an umbrella body for all Malaysian student bodies. Such collaboration can be seen with the success of Merdeka Month Celebration 2007 which organised by MASCA SA, Kelab UMNO SA, MISSA and MySA under the banner of Malaysian Student Organisations (MSO).
Represent and serve the interests and welfare of the Malaysian student community in Australia. Being away from home does not mean that we will be alone. We are a for student, by student organisation. For example, every year MASCA SA work collaboratively with other student bodies and sponsors to facilitate the new students.
